Waiting to see it. Meanwhile, Drifters seems excellent. I'd been wanting some anti heroes.

I'm waiting on Koe no Katachi, next on my hit list of "supposedly really fucking good romance movies"

Finally saw it. Not my favourite ever, but it was extremely good. Those skies too. So pretty.

As bont suggested, thunderbolt fantasy was fantastic and really unique. Highly recommend.

I thought I'd drop by with a recommendation. If you've ever seen Log Horizon and thought it was pretty neat (even if s2 got kind of weak), you would probably enjoy Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions. Great music and feel to the whole thing. Got kind of deep at some points but managed to pull it off pretty well.

This thunderbolt fantasy? The sockpuppet show? It looks interesting.

Also, Grimgar is indeed good.

Now, I'd like to add a recommendation. Forewarning, I've never seen it, but I've heard King's Avatar is pretty much SAO but really good.

It's actually about esports, and not about virtual reality.

King's avatar was great, hopefully it will get another season. It's a Chinese produced show so it has an interesting feel compared to a lot of other anime. Thunderbolt fantasy also happens to be Chinese (Actually it's taiwanese? color me surprised)
GATE was also really good if you like fantasy stuff. I'm currently in the market for another series and I'm leaning toward 'Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon?'

It's hard to find series that that have the qualities I like. Unique/original, well executed, good sense of humor, tendency toward more adult themes. Hard to stay interested in anime when so much of it feels like it's intended for a younger audience
